Tips on How to Focus When You DON’T Feel Like It

Hello BAM-iT! Edu Class,

Every student has those moments when they have A TON of work to do but very little focus drive left. Watch the video below for the secret weapons I use to channel all of my energy into focusing when my brain does not feel like it.

Video Key Points:

1.) Don’t do homework with friends you KNOW will distract you.

2.) Find study buddies who HAVE amazing focus and will hold you accountable.

3.) If you are sleep prone, study at the library, outside at a park, or at a quiet coffee shop instead of your dorm room or bedroom.

4.) If working on your computer, turn the wifi off, so you can’t do things like click over to social media or check your emails.

5.) Create a study schedule that you stick to like glue. Routines are good for staying in study groove. Click here to see my video on building study calendars.

6.) My personal trick for myself is sipping on a cup of tea or coffee. I don’t know why it works for me, but it just does.
